The Wow “HydraFacial” Treatment

After the introduction on the NuFace Microcurrent Home-Use System, now let’s talk about the newest technology of skin resurfacing facial treatment.

I was first introduced to HydraFacial about one and half year ago when I was getting myself ready for my wedding. Prior to HydraFacial I had done many different skin resurfacing treatments such as the traditional Microdermabrasion, Sonic Peel and of course the weekly facial exfoliation but none of those was able to give me the same result as the result of a HydraFacial treatment. It is no wonder HydraFacial was featured as the hottest celebrity pre-bridal facial treatment in the In Style Magazine, June 2009 issue.

What makes HydraFacial so special than the other skin resurfacing treatments? Unlike the traditional resurfacing treatments, HydraFacial is a new breakthrough in aesthetic technology that is non abrasive, can also hydrate, pump serums into the skin while removing the dead skin cells from getting fines lines and wrinkles.

The treatment is almost suitable for most skin types, including normal, combination, dry or oily skin. This new advanced facial technology uses hydradermabrasion which combines cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, hydration and antioxidant protection together in just ne machine. The result is the improvement of fine lines, wrinkles, enlarged pores, acne and hyperpigmentation.

Though HydraFacial is good for treating brown spots and hyperpigmentation and claims no downtime, I strongly recommend you avoid sun exposure as the acid used in the treatment can cause skin sensitive to UV and create more sun damage. But if you need to stay outdoor, I suggest extra layers of sunscreen and any sort of UV protection will help to reduce the skin sensitivity. Otherwise, there is nothing to be worried about.

Tips from my experience, always schedule your HydraFacial toward the end of the day if you can. Try not to wash off the pumped serum in your skin until the next day. Let the serum stay in the skin overnight to get the absolute benefit while you sleep. I guarantee you will wake up the next day with a refreshed, and more radiant skin!

The smooth result and hydration should stay about 5 – 7 days. I recommend not using any exfoliating products during those days as your skin just received a full cleaning and exfoliating treatment. Extra scrub, exfoliate is not necessary for those days. A series of minimum 6 sessions is recommended if you want to see the long term improvement iof fine lines, wrinkles and hyperpigmentation.

The cost of each session varies where you get your treatment done. The average cost is around $185 - $250 per session. I have been getting the HydraFacial treatment a monthly basis as my skincare regimen. A Lumiift (Microcurrent Lift with LED light treatment) can be added to HydraFacial.

Yes I will be talking about Lumilift soon enough!
